Are Your Products Certified Organic?

Yes – all of our candles are certified organic. From time to time we may sell candle holders & other products where it is not possible to achieve organic status.

Are Your Products Vegan or Vegetarian?

All of our ingredients other than beeswax can be categorically regarded as vegan.

There is some minor debate as to whether beeswax can be regarded as vegan or vegetarian and ultimately the decision should be made by the vegan or vegetarian themsevles.

In our opinion it does not qualify as vegan as it is a animal product produced and used by the bees themselves. It does however qualify as vegetarian as it has never been a living being (obviously!).

Whatever your beliefs, know that the production of organic beeswax is the best and least harmful way of providing a business case for sustainable apiculture. Non-profit organisations and charities working towards protecting bee populations do incredibly valuable work but the only way that wider society will pull towards that goal will be to make money from it! As Patrick Moore (the founder of Greenpeace) said: ‘Save the trees – use more wood’

Are Your Products Safe for Use Around Children or While Pregnant?

All of our 100% beeswax products are safe in terms of ingredients for use by pregnant women and around children. Of course, please pay special attention to warnings regarding the proper use and positioning of candles around children (out of reach and placed on a stable surface away from the edge).

The use of essential oils in the scented candles means that contact with the skin should be avoided as a precuation by all people, not just children and pregnant women as these are highly concentrated natural products that have not been made sythetically or safely in a lab and can have potentially harmful side effects when ingested or put in contact with the skin. These warnings are clearly listed on the packaging of every scented candle.

Do Your Products Contain Allergens?

All our products contain beeswax (Cera Flava) and are processed in a workshop that is also used to process coconut oil, essential oils and of course beeswax. We use hypoallergenic, natural cleaning products in the workshop.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

We offer a single rate of tracked shipping both in the UK and internationally.

Unless you state otherwise in your delivery preferences; all parcels will require a signature on delivery. You can ask in the delivery preferences section of the order page for your parcel to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour should you not be in to receive it at the time of delivery.

Do You Ship Internationally?

Yes, we do. Please bear in mind that delivery to some countries in South America and East Asia can take longer than the usual 3-5 days that we normally quote to North American and European customers. Should we anticipate a significant delay in the delivery of your order – we will contact you to make sure you would like to continue with your purchase.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

Generally we quote 3-5 working days for the UK, Europe and mainland North America with the rest of the world taking 7-15 days for delivery with Australia generally on a 10 day minimum delivery.

Payment

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

We accept payments via PayPal and Stripe. These payment services can use either your PayPal or Stripe account funds or you can use a guest checkout on our website using those services to input a one-off card payment securely.

Is Buying On-Line Safe?

Yes. The Skar Organics website is SSL encrypted so you can be sure that your order can be placed safely and securely. Just make sure that your browser is up to date with the latest version.

Skar Organics don’t process our own card payments and use the widely recognised and safe payment services of PayPal and Stripe. We do not store information regarding details of payments on the website itself and these link into our PayPal and Stripe accounts – thereby keeping your data and payment methods in safe hands.

Orders & Returns

How do I place an Order?

When browsing the website simply add a product to your cart when on the product page by clicking the ‘Add to Cart’ button at the side of the product photos. At any time you can ‘Checkout’ on the website by clicking the shopping cart in the top right hand corner of the website. You will then be brought to the ‘Basket’ page which will show the products currently in your online shopping basket. You can then press the ‘Checkout’ button on the bottom of the basket page to be brought to the order details page which will ask for details such as delivery address, email address or delivery instructions. Simply fill out the fields on the page and click ‘Continue’. This will bring you to the ‘Payment’ page to fill out your details of your payment method (like card number etc). Once the details on the payment page are filled in, simply click ‘Place Order’ and you’re done!

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

You can change you order prior to it being classified as shipped (you will get an update when this happens). You can also cancel the order in the same timeframe.

All you need to do is log into you account and select your order from your recent order history. In there you can change the items in your basket or cancel the order altogether. You can also change the delivery address or delivery options.

If you have chosen not to create an account you can always get in touch with us at support@proctormalyk.com to change or cancel your order prior to shipping.

Do I need an account to place an order?

You don’t need an account to place an order. Just select guest checkout when ordering. You will still need to give an email address and contact details in order to get updates about your order and allow us to contact you.

How Do I Track My Order?

In the ‘Account’ section of the website you will be able to see the status of your outstanding orders with Skar.

If you chose not the create an account when placing your order then you can visit https://skarorganics.com/order-tracking. When you place an order, you will get a confirmation email from support@skarorganics.com with a tracking reference. You can use this tracking reference and your email address on the Order Tracking page to find the status of your order.

How Can I Return a Product?

If you have any concerns abnout the quality of the product upon receiving your delivery we encourage you to get in touch at support@proctormalyk.com and give us any info about why the order is not satisfactory and send through photos if possible. Reporting goods damaged in transit allows us to improve so please get in touch and we will send out a replacement candle.

If you have a product that you have ordered by accident then we offer a full refund of product cost minus shipping upon the receipt of the product in its original un-opnened state.
